When the iPhone 4 went on sale in June 2010, some users quickly reported issues with the phone’s antenna. About a month later, Apple held a press conference wherein the company stated that it didn’t believe the issue was tremendously significant, that all phones displayed signal attenuation if touched in certain spots, that the iPhone’s algorithm for displaying signal strength was wrong, that anyone dissatisfied with their iPhone 4 could return it for a full refund, and that the company would offer anyone concerned about the reception issue a free iPhone case—because such cases eliminated the signal drop issues. Apple’s declarations didn’t satisfy everyone; some customers filed a class-action lawsuit against Apple over the issue. On Saturday, Apple settled that suit, agreeing to offer every U.S. iPhone 4 purchaser either $15 or—wait for it—a free case.
An Apple spokesperson told Cnet, “This settlement relates to a small number of customers who indicated that they experienced antenna or reception issues with their iPhone 4 and didn’t want to take advantage of a free case from Apple while it was being offered in 2010.”
The final settlement covered 18 separate lawsuits that had been combined into a single suit spanning 25 million customers. The settlement requires that Apple email all eligible customers by the end of April. Customers will then have 120 days to respond in order to qualify for the $15 or free case. Apple will also print a notice of the settlement in USA Today and Macworld.

Is there somebody how could give me some tips???

i tryed severlas settings with severlas Temperaturs and Air flow, but Chip was still on the board without any moving

Up to which °C the Baseband chip can handle it without died?

Hope that anybody can help me

My problem : This iphone does not look at all oxided. IT is very clean. But, it is not recognized by itunes and it does not give any sign of life.
It does not make appear even the recharge icon. Nothing. No sign of life.
I tried all, with battery, with wall charger..nothing.
Yesterday I have also soldered a USB cable to + and – pins of board and once i plug the USB again I have the voltage (5V) right on the capacitor (point red and yellow of the post in this forum). Nothing is heating. I did this following suggestions i found on the forum. But Wites is telling me on private message to remove immediately this USB cable as likely 5 volts are too much..So i hope now to have not damaged even more this board.

One remark i can do is that just up the connector there are 2 filters (the very small ones)..this 2 filters i am not in the condition to say if they are working as they where in the middle of the mess made by previous owner. But they are in place. Any way to test them?

Another remark always testing randomly tensions over pins I remarked that there is a point where i guess i should have voltage and I have O volts.

I just need to know if there are simple test I can make to understand, why the iphone is not recognized by Itunes, it does not turn on, nor recharge.

Could be the responsible the PMIC broken?

Can i try to reball the PMIC ? if not, where can i buy a new PMIC for iphone 4? and of course…is it neccessary or you can suggest me ways to understand what is the real problem of this board?
